Rebecca J. Hannagan is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Northern Illinois University. Her research focuses on the biological underpinnings of political attitudes and behavior and intersects the fields of political science, psychology, anthropology, and biology. Her work also examines how sex and gender mediate political decision making. She has published articles in the Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Perspectives on Politics, and Sex Roles, and has articles under review at other political science, psychology and anthropology journals.
She obtained her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 2006.
