Rebecca J. Hannagan - Northern Illinois University
Thank you for visiting my website. I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science, an Associate of Women's Studies, and an Associate of the Center for the Study of Family Violence and Sexual Assault at Northern Illinois University. My research focuses on the biological underpinnings of political attitudes and behavior and intersects the fields of political science, social psychology, cultural anthropology, and evolutionary biology. My work specifically examines how sex and gender mediate political decision making and group dynamics. Please see my published articles in Political Behavior, Biology & Philosophy, PS: Political Science and Politics, the Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Perspectives on Politics, and Sex Roles: A Journal of Research. I am currently working on a large-scale field study with Christopher W. Larimer (University of Northern Iowa) and a book project with Holly Arrow (University of Oregon).
